The Pumpernickl is a gingerbread speciality and has a long and succesful tradition. The first production dates back to the year 1909 and since then, it has been exported around the world - also to India. At the end of the 1970s, there was a big change in the machine park which caused a temporary break for the Pumpernickl.
And nowadays, we are more than happy to announce that Kastner have started again to produce the Pumpernickl - according to the old recipe, but with a modern an innovative production technology.
WHEAT FLOUR, sugar, honey, EGG, HAZELNUTS, RYE FLOUR, humectant: sorbitol; ALMONDS, pimento, cinnamon, raising agent: ammonium bicarbonate, potassium carbonate. May contain traces of milk, sesame and soy.
